Lost TV Show 5×17 “The Incident” Part 2. Season 5 of lost was great because one of the Mysteries was resolved when we finally got to see Jacob in Action. But, then there is a man in black whom we are clueless about (yet another thing to wonder about until next year!)…
Anyway, I gave some of my insight in the previous post “The Incident – Part 1” about Jacob and this man in black and how Richard was given eternal life, etc… So, after seeing the end of Part 2 my feeling is that this new group of strangers that are working for Jacob brought a huge container that had John Locke in it!!! Okay, 2 John Lockes? No, just 1, but the man in black is the other. There are lots of possibilities here, but my thoughts are something like this:
- John Locke was killed by Ben (who struggles with Envy! which is a sin!)…
- John Locke Ended up in the plane, in a Casket that was landed fairly safe on the Island and a group of Strangers protected it.
- Then John Locke appears to everyone like he was risen from the Dead, but no one bothered to check the Casket which is in the hands of the strangers.
- Now, this body was brought to Richard while the man in black, disguised as John Locke was helping to convince Ben (using is Envy) to kill Jacob.
Okay, so the Man in Black can somehow look like John Locke, is this because he is of some super natural power like Jacob and can do special things like shape shift? Or, was there a clone of John Locke somewhere? The writers of lost did have a scene when Ben first left the Island and was never to return, somehow had a second ben appear so there was 2 bens. Anyway, this concept is not new, they just finally introduced it to the actual show. Anyway, if this man can shapeshift, maybe he is also the black smoke! Hmmm, because the black smoke said to do what ever John Locke said and used the form of Bens Daughter to convince him… Wow, the island finally speaks to Ben and when it does, it is to follow the fake John Locke!
If you have another theory I’d like to hear it. Moving on here… The Time Line is in Danger back in 1977 as Juliet actually activates the Hydrogen Bomb so will time be reset? If so, then John Locke will never be on the Island and Jacob will not die, etc… I think that Jacob went back and touched certain members of the survivors for a reason though. Maybe this was so that when Time resets, they will not be. They get to remain on the Island since they did sacrifice themselves to change the future. Which means that maybe there is a way for Jacob to still be alive? This gets really confusing, but I am sure the show will make sense of it all.
The more I get into this, the more I get confused. But I do hope John will live again and maybe the people Jacob touched will all have to touch him back to bring him back?
Oh, here is a side thing… Jacob leaves the Guitar with Hurley and Sun finds the Drive Shaft Ring! Hmmm, maybe Charlie gets to come back in the last season so he can give the ring back to Aron and be back with Claire! See, the more I write the more things that we just need to know so we are fully satisfied.
